Not All Months Are Equal

In the month since last we posted, Jackson turned 10 (months); he gained 3 teeth (bringing his impressive total to 4); he got quite good at pulling himself up and learned how to get himself back down; he started to walk (while holding our hands, but still...); he traveled to Vermont; he climbed some stairs; he swam in a river; he had his butt kissed by his cousin; he went to the beach; he swam almost every day in the public pool and once in a little private pool with his cousin; he figured out how to point; he perfected his one finger button pushing/piano playing technique; he started noticing and pointing at airplanes; he learned the word "dog," which sounds a bit like doug--possibly, i suppose, referring to my old pre-school friend dougy roeser; he started noticing the moon; he went on a carousel (and yelled momma when he saw the bare-chested mermaid painted on the wall); he went to the zoo and tried to lick the pettable cow; he flew to atlanta and went to the aquarium where he screamed at the fish; he went to the museum of natural history and was interested in all sorts of exhibits that bored his parents; he was put to bed by a babysitter; he learned how to pack a suitcase; he befriended our neighbor santiago; he was bit by a girl; he swam in the ocean; he ate an ear of corn and 2 whole peaches (on different days); he started pushing his momma around (on his little walker, that is); he's started wearing headphones; he continued to charm the pants off the whole neighborhood; and he apparently has only increased his parents' tendency to boast about his development.
whew.
because of all this and the increasing pressure (now from both sides of the aisle) to post more entries, we are forgoing the caption and just providing the pictures. yes, it's sort of like going right to dessert, but that's kind of what our big man is like these days: a fresh baked super sweet mushy piece of birthday cake smothered in frosting.
