Dad Returns in Time for Jackson to Turn 1/3 Year (subtitle: Anyone who still doesn't think Jackson looks like his mother needs a new set of glasses)
It's been about a month since we last posted, and in that month, Jackson has turned 1/3 of a year, a milestone I'd imagine most of us remember quite well.
In the past few weeks, Jackson is being sleep trained (or, his parents are being sleep trained). The curriculum has had a few byproducts, which we haven't captured on film: Jackson has learned how to undo the velcro on his diaper (a skill that we aren't exactly thrilled he's acquired); he has learned to flip himself competely around in his crib and scoot way down (so that we can't always find him when we go to pick him up), and he can basically sit up on his own now (which makes every couch or chair look absolutely massive).
He's also taken a bit more control of these posts, and he noticed that a couple posts back, Jackson's Great Aunt Leona asked for a family picture, so Jackson found this one in the archive. (For some reason we all appear to be pitched a bit forward in this shot, no?)

So this is the first post since dad got back from the UK, and it took Jackson a while to get comfortable with him. Perhaps it was the British haircut, suit coat and accent, but eventually dad got back to normal, and Jackson again wanted to be just like him.

In fact, Jackson never left his dad's side. Not once.

Except, of course, that time he was with his mother.

and that time.

and that time (his mother, by the way, seems to have taught Jackson to stand while dad was away).

And I guess there was that time he was with his new friend Charlie Buchwald.

And once he was with the Kohlers, who got Jackson to pose for one of their famous denim and black holiday cards.

and he did take one afternoon to just relax on his own in his Jedi robe

and he practiced some fashion model face that his mom must have taught him.

and he learned how to play the guitar.

and took a swim in the tub (with all parts tactfully hidden from view).

But mostly, he was just with his dad.

Jackson,
My friend, you look just like your Mother. Emma, Veronica, and I have penciled you in for breakfast on the morning of Monday, April 2, at your house in Brooklyn. Keep it sleazy, my man.
D
